学前阶段是儿童语言发展的关键期。Rainbow Cove Preschool 深谙其理，精心打造出一套兼具创意与实效的华文教学体系，致力于激发孩子们对华文的热爱与学习信心。

我们的老师以游戏化教学为核心策略，贯穿 PG 至 K2 全阶段课程。孩子们在轻松愉快的氛围中学习华文，每年年底更会登上舞台参与大型华文汇报演出，自信表达、展示学习成果，同时深化语言理解与表达能力。

在阅读教学方面，我们为 N2 至 K2 的孩子首创了一套适合新加坡幼儿的华文分级阅读教材。该课程帮助孩子在毕业前掌握约 400 个常用字词，并逐步实现自主阅读。每年九月举办的“学前儿童识字阅读比赛”，深受孩子与家长欢迎，也多次获得新加坡主流媒体的关注与报道。

此外，我们还为 K1 与 K2 的学生定期举办华文演讲比赛，全面提升幼儿的语言组织与口语表达能力。孩子们也积极参与全国性赛事，多次获得奖项，表现优异。

At Rainbow Cove Preschool, we recognise the preschool years as a pivotal stage in a child’s language acquisition journey. In response, we have developed a distinctive and research-informed Chinese language curriculum designed to foster a deep appreciation for the language while building strong foundational skills in listening, speaking, reading, and performing.

Our play-based and experiential learning approach is implemented consistently from Playgroup through Kindergarten 2. Through interactive activities, storytelling, role-play, and language games, children engage meaningfully with the Chinese language. A key highlight of the programme is our annual year-end Chinese performance showcase, where every child takes the stage to express themselves confidently, demonstrate their learning progress, and build communication and presentation skills in a real-world context.

To support early literacy, we have pioneered a proprietary levelled Chinese reading scheme, purposefully designed for preschool learners in Singapore. Introduced from Nursery 2 (N2) to Kindergarten 2 (K2), this structured reading framework enables children to master approximately 400 commonly used Chinese characters and words, and gradually develop independent reading abilities. Our annual Preschool Chinese Literacy and Reading Competition, held each September, has been widely embraced by families and has garnered coverage by major local media outlets for its innovation and impact.

Additionally, Rainbow Cove Preschool organises regular Chinese Speech Competitions for K1 and K2 children, providing them with opportunities to practise public speaking, enhance their expressive language skills, and build confidence. Our students have also represented the school in national-level speech contests, receiving accolades and affirming the strength of our Chinese language programme.
